Yes. Communism propaganda. One of my favorite albums!
Communism was a side project of Russian punk pioneers Гражданская Оборона. It was studio-only band with compositions on absurdly exaggerated communism and Soviet pop-culture themes.
"Recorded with Flirt duet(Oleg Sur and Valerka Rozhkov). Material - yard folk songs from 60's - early 70's. In its way it is - a commendable and inexorable bringing of musique concrete to complete and final overfucking. Very beautiful and sad album." Yegor Letov.
What is the difference between late 80's albums of Communism and this one? Somehow naivete demobilization songs became heartbreaking serious. From kitsch to epos.
Well, something to start with. Bubonic Plague's first album. I'm so ashamed that I cannot grok it for years. Analog synths, sick groove.. well, I can said that it is so bad that even good. Badass.
